Royal British Legion Ceremonial Cremation of 27 Standards

On Saturday 14th of January 2017, James Page from the Romford branch of The Royal British Legion organised a ceremonial service for the dignified disposal of 27 Royal British Legion Standards.

We were privileged to assist the Royal British Legion in this unique ceremony, which took place at the beautiful City of London Cemetery and Crematorium.

The service was led by

Fr Chris Morgan, the Royal British Legion Chaplain for the Greater London District.

The City of London Cemetery Superintendent Gary Burks and Crematorium Manager Spencer Lee took part in the service by carrying the coffin into the chapel flanked by 18 RBL Standard Bearers from across the country.
